search for treasures on playa toro (pedasí)

Playa Toro (AKA “Bull Beach”) is one of our favorite beaches in Pedasí — and the nearest beach to Pedasí central (about five minutes by car).

This beautiful beach is packed with treasures. Weathered driftwood, beautiful shells, and lots of cool stones are yours for the finding.

It’s also a fabulous beach to just sit and be, or take a long walk to Playa Arenal (where the Isla Iguana and Whale Watching tours begin). Don’t miss the mangrove forest to the left!

Just like most of the beaches on the Azuero, you won’t find many people on Playa Toro—just beauty and tranquility in abundance.

Do check the tide before you go—it’s always best to go at low tide. And, as with all of the local beaches, watch for riptides! Definitely take the time to get educated on riptides if you plan on swimming here.

When you’re in the area, don’t miss the other gorgeous beaches, like Playa Punta Mala and Destiladeros!

Just find Pedasí’s town square and take either one of the streets beside it away from town and you’ll end up in the dirt parking lot perched right above the beach. (NOTE: If you taxi out there, get the taxi driver’s WhatsApp or you’ll be walking back!)
