Nestled inside a private community between Playa Venao and Cañas, Casita Alma is a totally unique and hidden treasure.

Wake up to the howls of monkeys, songbirds and ocean waves…sip coffee under the trees on your ocean view balcony…and enjoy long walks on a secluded beach.

The casita was designed, built and decorated with an abundance of heart and soul. Much of the décor was created with our own hands from found objects in nature. The traditional grass roof, natural wood accents, outdoor shower, and vibrant interior décor give it an authentic tropical feel.

You’ll regularly see two species of monkeys ~ the talkative howlers and the feisty white-faced capuchins ~ often right next to the casita. If you’re lucky, you’ll also catch a glimpse of the elusive spider monkeys in the immediate area. We regularly see toucans, parrots, and parakeets, as well as coatimundis and exotic reptiles and insects (it IS the jungle!). Occasionally, we even see a jaguarundi! During whale season, you can see migrating humpback whales without ever leaving home.

Our community has direct access to two stunning natural beaches straight out of National Geographic ~ Playa Raya and Playa Madroño.

Because one of your landlords is an avid cook, you will often have the option of purchasing delicious homemade treats, including sweet and savory breads, yogurt, and more.
